The hashtag black lives matter originated after the release of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African American teen. /blacklivesmatter.com . Most people who joined the hashtag joined the conversation because they felt that they were not given equal opportunities, for example a job interview would be granted to a person who has a name that sounds whites than a black name.
The black lives matter hashtag was not established to emphasize how other lives are not as important as the black lives. It simply reminded people that a black person also deserves the respect and the same opportunities that other people are given. youtube.com Many people felt that they are still treated as slaves even when the days of black people being treated as slaves has passed to them there is still no change.
The black lives matter became an everyday subject that each and every one was talking about it in all social media platforms and on the news as well all around the world. The #BlackLivesMatter is not just supported by black people the social media was filled with comments from all races which showed unity against the issue../twitter.com. Many companies and even celebrities have joined the hashtag and raised their views on the hashtag some were saying how disappointed they are to the law and justice services as polices were killing innocent black lives and getting away with it that leading to black people and the public in general launching the black lives matter hashtag which is now supported by the whole world.
Many organizations intervened in the black lives matter hashtag with also a Government putting measures in place to try and fight the matter. The president of United States of America Barack Obama has applauded the black lives matter movement which is now not only a movement but it has become a trending hashtag not only on social media but also on the streets. The president said that the movement has raised matters that the justice system should have tackled news/2015/oct/22/obama-black-lives-matter. The movement has been supported as it does not raise issues that do not affect people but it raises community issues that need to be dealt with. There is nothing as sad as knowing that you are not given same opportunities as others because of the color of your skin, that is the reason behind the hashtag.
black lives should matter most for it was black people that fought for the democracy in south Africa.and they should be considered as important as other peoples lives.
All lives matter, that is my take on the hashtag. I ask myself was this going trend if it were to be a black police man who shot a white teenager. I am not saying this was blown out of proportion, but I am saying that all lives matter and we should stop excusing black people being racist.
I tend to agree because the blog was not formed to emphasize the importance of black people but to remind the public that even black people still matter
Xenophobic attacks must be stopped for life, no human deserves to be treated like these despite their nationality or color of their skin. We must urge our brothers and sister to stop such behaviours.
I am a Human before I am an African The Brutal Killings of Foreigners The hashtag #SayNoToXenophobia started when Foreigners running for their lives followed by SA citizens South Africans started attacking the foreigners claiming that they are stealing their jobs in their own country. /south-africa-xenophobia-2015 The brutal killing and beating of foreigners slowly spread in the whole country resulting in local celebrities and ordinary South Africans standing together adding their voices to the hashtag #SayNoToXenphobia . On social media the hashtag became a trending topic which encourages UBUNTU and humanity to fellow Africans.
