I am a Human before I am an African

The Brutal Killings of  Foreigners

 The hashtag #SayNoToXenophobia started when
Foreigners running for their lives followed by SA citizens
South Africans started attacking the foreigners claiming that they are stealing their jobs in their own country. /south-africa-xenophobia-2015 The brutal killing and beating of foreigners slowly spread in the whole country resulting in local celebrities and ordinary South Africans standing together adding their voices to the hashtag #SayNoToXenphobia . On social media the hashtag became a trending topic which encourages UBUNTU  and humanity to fellow Africans.

South Africans have turned the hashtag into action which shows that when working together for a good cause a lot can be achieved. -xenophobia-on-social-media  The Government is also condemning the behavior. In addition a peace march was held in Durban on 16 April which many people participated in supporting the foreigners. /www.youtube.com/ The attacks have left us with the question that we should be asking our selves as in to why people had to risk their lives and fight for our freedom during apartheid.? The brutal killings should be evident that we have forgotten as in how it was like to be treated as less of a human being and seeing others given better treatment.

On social media there have been a positive attitude towards the issue on hand, the whole country have shown nothing but support and sympathy for all of the foreigners who were the victims of the xenophobic attacks. The former head of the refugee help desk  Jean Peirre A Lukamba declared that the social media has played a vital role towards taking a stand against xenophobia  and that such platforms help triggering positive change but also urged the Government to go to the ground and mend relations among affected communities take-a-stand-against-xenophobic-violence-i. Lead SA was also involved in fighting against xenophobic attacks they hosted a silent vigil at the Constitutional Hill precinct in Johannesburg.

I agree with what has been said by many organizations on social media because the Government needs to intervene by making sure that he provides skills to fellow South Africans through different programs and also provide job opportunities to assure that no South African citizen will blame the Government for not providing them with skills and job opportunities. government-response-to-xenophobia The Government should also put procedures like ensuring that there is no foreigner in our country without correct documents.

Many local celebrities and organizations responded well on social media because if they did not raise their views there is not much that could have been done because of their fight together it resulted in action made because when people unite against a good cause success is guaranteed

    1. Exactly the one thing that we should consider is how we want them to treat us when we go to their countries while we made their lives miserable while they were in our country.
